K.V.R. Educational and Welfare Trust is a non-profit organisation officially registered in 2016. We, the KVR Trust team, take care of the Educational needs, empowering underprivileged students who are high achievers, particularly with regard to the School fee, private tuitions, study material, admission to good schools, counselling and guidance and a lot more which helps them to pursue their goal in the field of education.
Empowering such fragile families with worthy children is a boost to their wellbeing and dignity. Such deserving children, if not supported during their growing years, are likely to fall by the way side and enter the fringe of the anti-social arena.
OUR MISSION - To create a system which provides the bright, intelligent and deserving students an access to quality education, support and mentorship, where families, who have already made their mark, take the responsibility of these underprivileged students to transform and liberate them from the clutches of poverty and give them wings of education
OUR VISION - Supporting the academic vision of these children and helping them to rise to a platform of merit, which will empower them to pursue their onward academic journey, which opens a doorway towards a better life, is the vision of this trust.
We have inherited this vision from the legacy of the Late Shri. K.V. Reddy, a phenomenal Director of motion films, who was associated with Vijaya Vahini Productions, Chennai, India. He was a great philanthropist who had tirelessly and unconditionally supported innumerable families for Education, Career and Housing. His grand-children, Archana and Arvind Reddy, decided to continue the legacy and take his dream forward to greater heights. Hence, the Trust was formed in 2016 and has now successfully completed two years,
The Trust is dedicated to empower those students who, in spite of their financial challenges and social constraints, are steadily progressing towards a significant development in conditions which are beyond their control. The aim is to support these needy students with their school fees and cost of tutorials and coaching.
Our growth depends on:
Our team, at KVR, consists of members trained in the academic field of education, which is required to achieve the aim of the Trust. Most of us are teachers with several years of experience in schools and colleges. Hence, we can relate to the student’s problems, and can consistently guide them.
KVR is one of the several organizations working on the wide spread aspects of Education, no doubt. But, the basic idea, is to, work out the logistics of interventions, for the betterment of the performance level of the selected students from the so labelled "deprived sections of the socio-economic hierarchy."
Our basic strength is our academic/education background. Most of us are retired and well settled in life with time in hand, immense gratitude towards the Society at large and wish to serve the Society in the areas we are strong in.
KVR Trust is very transparent in all respects. Our core strength is Education and we are not commercially oriented. We have strong values in serving the children and society. Our focus is on ensuring that funds reach the right people while ensuring transparency.
Donations requested for, would be known to have reached the right people, since, the improvement levels in comparison to the benchmark made, right at the onset once the information sheets are analysed and will be made known via time - planned reports. In other words, the details of payments are given in the quarterly reports sent to the sponsors. Video clips of the students and their teachers are sent to the sponsors. Also, the sponsors can meet the students and interact with them from time to time. This process is aligned to the vision of the Trust. By this process, each student gets some kind of mentorship from well-established members of our Society.
Empowering fragile families with worthy children is a boost to such families. Such deserving children, if not supported, are likely to fall by the way side and enter the fringe of the anti-social arena. Providing even a little help, a small gesture of love, makes a great difference in the life of any child, particularly the underprivileged student.
Hence it is our hope that every enabled family volunteers to contribute to this noteworthy cause. The responsibility of the student is directly or indirectly shifted to the donor and the Trust becomes only a medium of contact.
The individual who is either sponsoring a child for whatever period of time, or those who give donations for the cause, would be those who are genuinely interested in the progressive contribution to the overall development of the children and thereby, help the country also.
We get an opportunity to give back to the Society and show our gratitude. We get immense satisfaction when we interact with these children. Each one of us, the donors, participants, receivers... all feel a sense of fulfilment of purpose, satisfaction, pride and much more.
This is a charitable trust, and no one gets any financial benefit, except the employees and service providers. All the others work with a selfless attitude and are extremely proud to be a part of the Trust.
The Trust is formed recently hence it is still in the teething stage. We only concentrate on the student’s progress and requirements. Most of our efforts go in identifying the students who are of above average intelligence, talented in some field, interacting with their families, teaching and guiding them etc. This by itself is a major activity.
Occasionally a get together is organised at a convenient place. Most of the students live in different areas, and are not able to come to a place which is far from their residence. Hence, we go to meet them periodically.
To begin with, our area of operation is limited to in and around the city of Mumbai where the trust is based. But, we hope to expand in the future. The expansion process would be defined with respect to the availability of donors/ teachers/ mentors/volunteers who can facilitate the selection and mentorship of promising students. The rest has to be planned and implementation strategies will follow thereafter only, for we first need to know the broad range of class levels/standards the children come from.
